After a lot of research by Mrs Benham in the school Office, a company called Incredible Eggs was chosen to provide us with a 10 day hatching kit.
The eggs came from a 200 acre farm in Derbyshire and the owners, Michael and Zoey have 4 breeds of ducks - Indian Runners, Khaki Campbells, Silver Appleyards and Cayuga's.
Both the children and staff had such a wonderful time observing the whole process, it was an amazing educational experience and we were all rather sad when the ducklings had to return back to the farm.
To promote British Values, we had a 'St George Mufti Day'...
On St George's Day - Tuesday 23rd April - children and staff of South End Infant School were invited to come dressed in red and white.
Thank you to all of our children and staff that participated, helping to promtote British Values and celebrate one of our Saints.
Look at what all of your children's hard work completing circuit training during our Sports for Schools session and all of the fantsatic donations from our wonderful families has achieved for our School...
Thank you so very much!!
We would like to say a huge thank you to the local community for enabling our EYFS children to experience such a wide variety of modes of transport again this year. The children and staff had such enormous fun and so many amazing learning opportunities were provided.

Last Friday the children and staff celebrated 'Around the World' Day. Children were invited to dress up in outfits which represented the coutry their class would be 'visiting'. Lots of fun facts were learnt about these countries, and lots of fun was had by all!
We had a fabulous time at the Royal & Derngate on Friday 15th December – to see the children’s faces watching so intently and being so engaged was everything that is brilliant about working in an infant school and sharing magical moments.
Many thanks in particular go to Mrs Savage, Mrs Baker and Mrs Blainey for hours of work that went into making the trip possible.
We have decided that we would like more of the same next year!!!
