Monday 13th November, marks the beginning of Anti-Bullying Week in school.
We kicked off our week by taking part in Odd Socks Day. Children and school staff came to school in their usual school uniform/clothing, with the fabulous addition of wearing odd socks!
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that participated, helping to celebrate an Anti-Bullying Culture at our school.
We are so very proud to announce that South End Infant School won the Summer Reading Challenge at Rushden Library for the most children visiting from our School.
We won £75 worth of book vouchers, received a lovely certificate and a spectacular shield to display in the school for a year! This was all presented to us by Hayley Dimes from Rushden Library and the Town Mayor.
A massive well done to all of our children and families for showing their love of reading by visiting our fabulous local library.
As part of our Harvest celebrations this year, we reached out to the local food bank and offered our support.
Donations from our wonderful families and staff came in abundance and this morning, some of our pupils helped to get everything ready to take to Encompass Charity in Rushden.
Thank you so much to everyone that helped, your kindness makes such a difference and is very much appreciated.
We are delighted to announce that February's 'Number Day' raised an amazing £191.49 for the NSPCC! This maths themed mufti-day was a wonderful day for all the children and staff, and we are so pleased to raise this amount of money for such a worthwhile cause.
We had a fabulous day celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III by crowning our very own King and Queen! There were carriages, routes around London, crowns, our own 'Arch Bishop of Canterbury' and lots of flag waving with sandwiches to follow.
Many thanks to all the children, staff and Rev Phil Hearson for creating such a wonderful and memorable occasion.
We would like to say a massive thank you to the local community for enabling our EYFS children to experience such a wide variety of modes of transport this year! We were completely overwhelmed by people's generosity. The children and staff had such incredible fun and so many amazing learning opportunities provided.
